Hey, I just got to Philly last night. It was so wierd because my parents gave us all of their old furnature and dishes, so it was so familiar right off the bat. It was crazy- it felt like home...but it was my brand new apartment with homey stuff. Anywho, I'm glad I'm back. I have to wait for them to grade my dissertation. I'm not good at predicting grades at that school so I'll be completely surprised when I get my grade. It was great to hear from you. You'll definately have to keep me in touch on your progress and what you're up to! I'm in such a new city and I don't know anyone yet, so a penpal would be awesome!

I have my count up as I write my dissertation up on my site. I was sick for a while and in the hospital, so it's going up rapidly-lol. It's keeping me going a bit by holding me acountable to how much work I'm doing to get a rough draft done by the beginning of September. Come check it out if you have time.

I just had a really busy week. I went to Barcelona for a few days and then had rehearsals for the proms when I got back. I had to go to london two days in a row and then back again because that's the only way the school would pay for me. Now, my last performance is over and I have a week to work hard and then my parents come. Then I'll have another week to work hard and then my boyfriend is coming over. Then after that, it's the home stretch for a month while I finish the paper.

I am currently a PhD student in Scotland, in the Practical Theology department of the Divinty School. I am writing on how parents (and other caring adults) can use secular literature to help in the spiritual development and growth of children. In my *free time*, I'm enjoying unlimited cinema, reading for fun (as opposed to study), traveling and sightseeing, chatting with friends (since I can't really hang out), watching TV, cooking and anything else fun I can find at the moment.
Sports:
I don't really do American sports so much anymore. Real football I like (GO SCOTLAND!!), and rugby (again, GO SCOTLAND!!!... four more years, maybe...*sigh*).
Music:
Anything without words I'll listen to while I study, but for fun I like the Beatles, Keane, Snow Patrol, Sandi Thom, Jason Mraz, Space Ghost, The Smothers Brothers, U2, broadway/musicals soundtracks, Chris Rice, Rich Mullins...
Movies:
I love films, and can't really pick just one favourite. The Princess Bride would have to be way up there, though. The last movie I saw changes almost daily, check back again....

Books:
Books are the same as films... can't really narrow it down to one favourite. The only book I've ever read that I want to start rereading as soon as I finish it, though, is Tolkein's Lord of the RIngs. The last things I read were *A Thousand Splendid Suns* by Khaled Houseini and *On Moral Personhood* by Richard Eldridge.
Heroes/Idols:
I have a couple of friends who are real inspirations to me, in how they live and who they are... but I won't embarrass them here without warning them first. =D
