Sports:
I no longer pay enough attention to any sport to call myself a fan of any team. However, whenever I get a chance to watch the Cal Golden Bears, I do so. The Oregon State game was very frustrating.
Music:
Classical and baroque, and some contemporary Christian. Favorite composers are J. S. Bach and G. F. Handel. Favorite conducters, Robert Shaw of Atlanta chorus, and late Eugene Ormandy of Philadelphia Philharmonic. Favorite contemporary artists, Selah.
Movies:
Once Upon a Time in the West. Sometimes I put in the DVD and don't even watch, but enjoy the music. Last movie I watched was something unmemorable on TV.
TV:
Renewing Your Mind with Dr. R. C. Sproul, and any iteration of the Star Trek franchise. No, I'm not a Trekkie. I've never worn a costume of any character or attended any Trekkie convention.
Books:
Paul's letter to the Romans. Last book was Genesis.
Heroes/Idols:
I admire the boldness of Gen. Honore, who during the New Orleans flood, told the press that they were stuck on stupid. Our music pastor and senior pastor inspire me every week.
