It’s been said that when life’s disappointments come, remember that a “no” from God only means He wants the best for you. In fact, He wants it so much that He is willing to see you disappointed today in order to give you His best tomorrow. Armed with that knowledge, we can face disappointments with a new perspective, waiting in quiet anticipation for the “best” that God has for us. We may plot and scheme, but the outcome of our dreams and lives is up to God. Our meddling will only frustrate His perfect plan. Our interruptions get us off track and delay the fulfillment of what lies in store. God’s best often means leaving behind what is merely good. Hold your desires with a light grip, ready to let go, and wait for His best. It will be well worth it.
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.” Psalm 68:19
