I am always interested in technology and astronomy... Video games and cartoons of the moment... and interesting people.
Sports:
I really don't like sports. I was always an academic in school and would have rather got the school that new microscope than new stuff for the sports teams. There is a place for athleticism, but the over-blown spectacle that is professional sports is laughable at best, let alone paying any more attention to it than the contemporary artists of the day,
Music:
Prince, Blondie, Goldfrapp, Bowie, Electric 6, Ladytron, CSS, Rasputina... many many others too numerous to type here.
I go to the theater to see special effects and cinematography. I am not a big fan of anything that is described as "gritty reality". I would rather sit and watch Godzilla stomp the same old toy buildings he has pulverized for the last 50 years than watch a drama.
TV:
When I actually watch TV, I try to catch these shows: The Bionic Woman, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, Dr. Who and Torchwood, Adult Swim, Daily Show and Colbert Report, and occasionally House, Weeds, Smallville, History and TLC shows about everything from animals to mummies to UFOs
Books:
The occult-ier the better! Joseph Campbell, the Apocrypha and the Bible, the 777, Zechariah Sitchen, Graham Hancock, Omar Kayhamm, Kalil Gibran... Also I like sci fi and horror; Frank Herbert, Isaac Aasimov, HP Lovecraft, some Anne Rice, Elizabeth Kostova... I really read more comics and internet pulp and news than real books anymore. I miss the gigantic library where my friends worked. I used to love looking at all the huge art history and reading all the mythology, occult and philosophy books... Maybe I read too many of them! LOL
Heroes/Idols:
People who are smart and successful but retain their sense of self. Anybody who can extend compassion to his fellow man in this day and age is a true hero.
