THE DANCER
She dances through life On a thread spun of gold
Creating an illusion In an attempt to be whole
She cannot be seen Through the illumines glow
Of abuse, pain and torture That which we don't know
Who can she be? As she dances so bold
Proud, sad and tattered Stories untold
Her many selves Will dance to be free
To someday be one To someday be
The beauty she creates Is for my eyes to behold
As I watch this child of pain To a woman unfold
I know of the dance Of the thread spun of gold
As I too have a story That's yet to be told
THE DREAM
As the canopy of darkness covers the sky And the light of day fades So with it my thoughts of happiness
And then she appears
Just the touch of her hand removes all my troubles Her abundant beauty comes from within
Her love for me shines as a radiant light A blinding light that reaches into my soul And we become one
As God's promise of life is the rainbow So she is my prism
We speak in volumes without saying a word All is denoted as we touch and look into each other's eyes
The world fades and Heaven opens As God's love is all around us And we are who we were created to be
A diviner love is not earthly possible
But morning wakens
As do I

HOW
How can you stop the ocean surf From pounding the endless shores Or change the tides at will?
How do you prevent a dove from taking flight Or silence a songbird?
How do you stop the wind from blowing Or cause the sun not shine?
How can you stop the seasons from changing Or the rain from falling?
Can we erase the clouds from the sky Or change the mountains into plains?
Can we change the deserts into meadows Or the oceans into barren waste lands?
And can we stop a heart betrayed From bleeding till death arrives?

Warm summer breeze, white sand beach, surf crashing on the shore, a walk in paradise. Faded blue jeans. lose white shirt, old brown boots, with a smile highlighted by golden hair, and piercing blue eyes. I am interested in joining these two interests so I can have Heaven here on earth.
Sports:
I'm not a big follower of sports. I'm not into watching sports, as much as I'm into participating. I enjoy playing volleyball (screwed up my knee and had to have surgery, what a bummer) and all water sports.
Music:
I listen to October Project, Trespassers William, Tonic, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Tori Amos, Tracy Chapman, Dinosaur Jr., Psychedelic Furs, Pink Floyd, U2, ect., ect., ect....But at any time you can find me listening to 50's and 60's rock, R&B, Blues, Funk, Classical, Reggae, and much more. There is very little, when it comes to music, that I do not appreciate (but there is some).
Movies:
It's so hard to pick a favorite with the likes of, Brave Heart. Jaws, Love Song for Bobby Long, Hamlet, Silence of the Lambs Trilogy, Instinct, and so on, and so on, and so on. Being a fan of almost every genre, and all the great actors, and actress that are out there, how do you pick (sorry to answer a question by asking one)?
TV:
I'm not a big fan of T.V. (so many other things I could be doing) but I do like comedy's ( Simpson's, Family Guy ) drama (C.S.I., C.S.I. Miami ) and an occasionally prime time movie. I don't like reality shows, but I find Kitchen Nightmares hysterical.
Books:
What can I say I'm an author - artist, my favorite book... mine, From Within the Looking Glass, by, you guessed it me, Gustave Geyer. I do love the works of Kahlil Gidran (The Prophet, Gibran Kahlil Gibran) Poe (collective works) Shel Silverstein (A Light in the Attic, Were the Sidewalk Ends, The Giving Tree, The Missing Piece Meets the Big O) and an occasional Dr. Seuss (The Cat in the Hat, Hop on Pop ect.). I would recommend these works to everyone.
Heroes/Idols:
Who do I admire...? You don't know her. Who inspires me...? My children, they make me want to be the best me I can.
