Alternative therapies, health problems and their solutions, wrting about health problems. I love doing research. I can get lost in it for hours. I enjoy sudoku and jigsaws for light refreshment. I get a lot of pleasure from breeding poultry. Chickens are a constant pleasure - but like most things - they grow up too fast.
Sports:
Australian Rules Football - The Crows of course! Must support the local 'fooball' team - i hate the way commentaters etc pronounce it without the 't'.. Basketball - the Adelaide 36ers.
Music:
I think I prefer music without words more than songs. Always tune in to Saturday night Country on ABC radio - don't always hear it as I tend to fall asleep in the middle of it.
Movies:
I really enjoyed the Italian Job - both old and new versions. One of the few I enjoy watching again. A particularly inspiring one is Ellen Brockovich - if only real life happened more like that.
TV:
I have terrible taste in tv - Grays Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Antiques Road Show [redeems me a bit], I used to like Big Brother, but I don't like the comperes for this next series - so that will be off my list, plus Judge John Deed - what a cliffhanger end to the season. I want to know what happens next!
Books:
Anything that I have written of course!
I read all sorts of books - the more I read theoretically the better writer I should become. I prefer thrillers and have most of the Dick Francis books. I like a novel that makes me want to turn the next page.
Heroes/Idols:
Sir Edmund Hillary. I was climbing around looking at the alpine garden on the far side of the Homer Tunnel with a guide who told me that this was near the area where Hillary trained. The Homer Tunnel is on the way to Milford Sound, South Island ,New Zealand.
