CLOUDWATCHER	Good morning. It is a beautiful winter (?) morning here in sunny Queensland, which is living up to its motto: “Beautiful one day, perfect the next.” Winter officially has another two weeks here, but apart from a couple of days when I wore a light cardy, we could be mistaken for thinking it was spring. I guess that means we are in for a steamy summer. Whatever your weather, I hope you are enjoying your week and ready for a relaxing / achieving / challenging / fun / or whatever you’ve planned weekend. Make sure that you do at least one thing for yourself this weekend. You deserve to be pampered, even if you have to do it yourself. A thought for the week: When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. So live your life that when you die, you are the one smiling and everyone around you is crying. Take care.

CLOUDWATCHER	Good morning friends. Although I have popped in most days to respond to friends’ comments, messages, blogs etc I have not been able to send comments for some time. I have been working on a new project, not difficult but time consuming and demanding of full concentration. It is progressing well so I’m taking a break to greet my friends. I’ve missed the daily “chat” but I see many others have also been absent for some time. We are in the last month of winter, but we have only had two days cold enough to wear more than a light cardy. I hope that doesn’t mean we’ll have a hotter than usual summer! If so, I might decide to migrate south! My thought for the day is from Albert Einstein: Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new. My wish for the day: The discovery of a new ability and the joy of success - especially if after initial failure. Have a great day!

CLOUDWATCHER	Thursday 7.00am and all is well. The sun is shining on a beautiful mid-winter morning 22C or 70F. I can’t complain about that but I must admit I’ve been complaining (along with most friends) about the slowness of yuwie lately. My limited time here is spent waiting … and waiting … and waiting. This is reminiscent of two years ago in the early days of yuwie, when things were much, much worse, but then we were having so much FUN we tolerated it and joked about it. So … a couple of quotes from Mr Anonymous seem appropriate . . . ¶ Any fool can criticize condemn and complain - and most fools do ¶ It is the growling man who lives a dog’s life I wish for you, my friend, a happy day and happy days to come. CLOUDWATCHER	I spent a few happy hours with yuwie friends Barb & Paul and their lovely dog Poppy yesterday. Poppy made herself at home and thought the sofa in my office was meant just for her. The time passed too quickly. Next time, we’ll plan a whole day of sightseeing and a picnic lunch, and when Lori and Joe are here from Canada we might be a bit more adventurous. I’m sure Lori would love to visit Snakes Down Under (but we won’t tell her where we are going). Yuwie friends are great!

CLOUDWATCHER	It is a bright, sunny, winter Saturday morning here in Australia with the temp at 22C (70F) and expected to rise. A group of kookaburras burst into a chorus of laughter a few minutes ago. I wish I could send you their sound, but my very limited technological expertise (and my limited download) won’t allow me to do that, so you will have to imagine their greeting to you. Have a very happy weekend, filled with happy times with family and friends, and a little “you” time.

Her mother must have had a sense of humour because her full name is Polly Esther Cotton. I had two girls in club a few years ago - Milcah Bull and Anita Kitchen, but Polly Esther Cotton beats them all, don't you think? Take care

CLOUDWATCHER	I’ve been considering the motto on my desk calendar today: “A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.” I agree with the saying, but I came to the conclusion that we are better off than candles. When we “light” or encourage others, we lose nothing but, as distinct from the candle, we actually GAIN. I would even say that we cannot brighten another’s day without brightening our own at the same time. So I’d like to pass on to you a little brightness. You help to brighten my day when I “see” you here, read your comments and blogs and sometimes have a little chat. Thank you for being you. You are special. Please have a bright and cheerful coming week. Accomplish your desires and your goals. Make time to enjoy some “you” time - and happy yuwie-ing!

CLOUDWATCHER	Well, today is officially the first day of winter here in Queensland where our slogan is “beautiful one day and perfect the next.” Well the temperature today has been 26C (about 80F) It won’t get much lower during the days for the rest of winter, but we will get cooler mornings and nights. This is a great holiday destination if anyone is thinking of travelling! Today, while messaging with a good friend here, we spoke of a dream of meeting. I’d love to meet some of my yuwie friends who live half a world away. Is it possible? I really don’t want to travel overseas again. I’ve done enough of that so I’ll leave it to the younger ones to come here. That reminds me of a quote by Mark Twain: ¶ Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines.
