I'm an insomniac, grad student, wife, mom, slave a spoiled Boxer/Mastiff boy & American Bulldog girl, sometimes b***hy, spoiled...
My interests include anime, cooking & cookbook collecting, music (learning guitar, know clarinet & sax, & sing in the soprano/alto range), my family, my dog, school, coffee, vodka....
Sports:
It's the playoffs, baby! I'm making up for lost football time.
I'm huge football fan! Go Raiders, win or lose (and oh man have the been losing lately). I follow the Panthers, too. My fav coaches are Dungey & Cowher.
I'm a Cubs fan, too, but don't follow baseball like I used to.
Music:
Music this time around includes Depeche Mode, High School Musical 2 soundtrack (dang kids, lol), Rent (original cast), Fuel (Older stuff), NIN, Prince, Foo Fighters, & George Clinton. Some mix, eh?
Movies:
We just saw The Simpsons Movie, Blades of Glory (again), & Who Killed the Electric Car. Other than that, documentaries have been in heavy rotation.
Fav movie of all time is Times Square, a flick from 1980 about two teens who run away from a NY hospital's mental ward. Tim Curry's in it playing a DJ -- love him!
TV:
Right now, Torchwood (sigh, John Barrowman) Supernatural, My Name is Earl, The Office (US), Coupling (BBCA), Doctor Who (Tom Baker & David Tennant are my fav Doctors), Fairly Odd Parents (I've got 2 kids, lol), Kappa Mikey, Adult Swim, Heroes. Old favs include Angel, Buffy, & Alias.
Books:
I finished V3: The Vampire Vignettes ReVamped last month & am now reading Sara Douglass' Serpent Bride.
I'm a big sci-fi/fantasy girl - Eddings, Lackey, & McCafferey are my favs. I'm also a cookbook collector, so I usually have oe of those nearby.
RIP Robert Jordan. It won't be the same without you.
Heroes/Idols:
My dad was my hero. We lost him 2/29/1980, less than a month before his 40th birthday. I still dream about him.
