Sports:
I don't like any professional sports...It is soooo much more fun to watch the amateurs and children!!!
Music:
I listen to all kinds of music and although I don't like rap, and I couldn't tell you who does what song...I enjoy listening to everything from Classical (Thank-you Mrs. Dalchjo, wherever you are) through Country to Old Rock and Roll.
My favorite Radio station right now is a nostalgia radio station in Winnipeg. The frequency is 104.7 FM
Movies:
Once a month I get together with my girls for a "Movie night". We watch the movies that our men don't appreciate...the tearjerkers and romantic comedies out there as well as other stuff that doesn't have explosions or slice and dice murders in them.
The last movie I saw was with my guy...300. What a great film!
TV:
The CSIs; Law and Order; Gilmore Girls (now in reruns) all the "Reno" shows like Trading Spaces and Take this House; Documentaries on the Ancient world and history (not having to do with the two "Great Wars"); Movies, and comedies
Books:
I am a voracious reader and enjoy most types of books from Anne of Green Gables to non-fiction. I am mostly into alternative history, fantasy (AKA Forgotten Realms and Dungeons and Dragons), pretty much anything that has a dragon, elves or fairies in it! I loved Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit although I don't think Tolkien ever did as well with the rest of his books.
Heroes/Idols:
The biggest inspiration I get these days are from my children and grandchildren. My children because they have turned into wonderful adults who have overcome obstacles and are achieving their dreams and my grandchildren because they personify those dreams!
I think Oprah Winfrey is pretty terrific and Ellen DeGeneris is wonderful for all the good they do in New Orleans and the world.
My guy is my ultimate hero because, with God's good graces, he has battled Cancer and won and continues to fight the side effects so that he can continue this life with me. He has brought many things to my life and it continues to amaze me how he can make the whole world go away just by looking at me in that special way and talking to me.
