In case you're wondering, I've designed my layout using Yuwie's template generator and I've decided to share it if you want to use it. You can view my layouts from the link under my picture, or you can look for the template called "CelticPattern" in the Layouts area. Now, onward with who I am....
My interests cover an ever-changing landscape, depending on the climate of my mind and spirit at any given time.
I tend to be interested in so many ideas and concepts that I find it hard to delve deeply in any one area. However, my overall way of being is "deep," in the sense that I find meaning and wonder in the smallest of detailsI have a strongly spiritual approach to life. I have always been extremely open-minded and tolerant. The only thing that I cannot tolerate is intolerance! People who already have all their answers and don't care to look any deeper, either into themselves or into the mysteries of life, make me sad and uncomfortable. I don't want to be around them. On the other hand, people who are always pushing themselves further into new discoveries fascinate me endlessly.
At 55, I'm still a work in progressalways will be. I'm a labor of love! Currently, I am actively learning about sound healing and shamanism, and I have a keen interest in what makes humans tick. I am shifting out of a decades-long focus on technology into a more ancient, intuitive way of knowing, and hope to find new ways to make a living in this shifting focus. Throughout the shifting, however, I remain interested in all aspects of science and technology.
And as a budding sound healer, I have rediscovered my deep connection to creating music. I think that if I were forced to pick one primary interest, I would have to say that it is MUSIC and the people who create music. Musicians seem to embody all the qualities I like in a human being, and I feel blessed to be able to call myself one of them.
I've got two AWESOME daughters, Wendy and Erin... as of this writing they are 28 and 24. I call my business Wenderin Enterprises in their honor, because they are the best "product" that I have ever created!!
I love music and I love musicians. I also love looking deeply into myself, my friends, my loved ones, and into life itself.
I sent several people a "describe-me-in-one-word" game, and here are the responses I received:
articulate
buoyant
analytical
loving
inquisitive
unlimited
indefatigable
supportive
Here's my life purpose, as reported by the website Tarot.com:
Your mission is to collaborate with others to create a more peaceful, just and beautiful planet. You are here to use your diplomatic and artistic skills to share your unique vision for the ideal society, and to work in partnerships and teams to create social structures that support your vision.
You serve humanity most effectively when you freely express your radical individuality and unconventional ideas.
Music:
See my comments below about Hugh Laurie, who is a member of the group Band from TV, whose members are television actors....
It's impossible to list ALL of my favorite musical performers, but I'll have a go at listing SOME of them: Beatles, Moody Blues, Cat Stevens, many from the "British Invasion" era like the Who, Kinks, YES, Eric Clapton, lots of British folk-rock groups, lots of good ol' American groups like Paul Revere and the Raiders (yep!), Three Dog Night, and Creedence Clearwater, Beethoven, Bach, Chopin, progressive rock, bluegrass, celtic, chants for meditation, "world" music, many, many, MANY singer-songwriters, both male and female, particular favorites being Dougie MacLean, Al Stewart, Karen Savoca, Dave Nachmanoff.... and I am REALLY digging many of the newest hit groups and individuals -- I think that the most current music is every bit as good as what I grew up with.
Jake Shimabukuro
Movies:
A Hard Day's Night (Beatles), Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monty Python's Life of Brian, The Wizard of Oz, What About Bob?, The Misfits, almost any Steve Martin movie, almost any Jim Carey movie, almost any Meryl Streep movie, What the Bleep Do We Know?.... the list goes on.
TV:
HOUSE (yay, Hugh Laurie!), A Bit of Fry and Laurie (yay, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie!) from 80s British television, Saturday Night Live, any kind of geology-, astronomy-, or archeaology-based program on the Science Channel or Discovery, etc., as well as new research into the human brain and human evolution, historical documentaries, biographies, landscaping and home remodeling shows on HGTV and other channels of their ilk, travel documentaries hosted by Michael Palin (of Monty Python fame), Bones, 30 Rock, Craig Ferguson on the Late, Late Show.... Except for 30 Rock, there aren't any good sitcoms these days, unless you count Hugh Laurie's subtly comedic performances on House.
For your pleasure and amusement, below is a YouTube video featuring one performance by the aforesaid Fry & Laurie. There's much more to "Dr. House" than that show allows.... I'll be changing this video around periodically, for variety.

Books:
I read mostly spiritual / psychological / philosophical material, and other forms of nonfiction. I used to read a lot of fiction as a child, but I haven't gotten into it as an adult, except for the occasional rare book that captures my attention.... I've just finished reading John, by Cynthia Lennon, former wife of John Lennon. My opinion is that it is EXCELLENT and that it is a sweet, painful, honest love story crossing many generations.
