ACEO cards are what take up all of my spare time when I'm not at work. They are so challenging and exciting to paint. I can't see myself ever giving them up!

Art is a passion of mine, actually it's probably the biggest part of what defines me as Joa. I've drawn everything and anything for as long as I can remember. It wasn't until a few years ago that I took a few lessons to see if I had any real talent for painting. I had never expected portraits to be the my main love of subject as when I first started painting with oils, I was determined to paint the 'best' Australian landscape ever painted....lol....well that didn't happen. Even now, I struggle compossing a truely beautiful landscape.
However, when it comes to portraits, I just LOVE the challenge!!

Another reason I smile everyday, is from the love, friendship and companionship I get from my gorgeous little mate 'TIGER'. He's a pure bred Himalayan cat 4 1/2 years old. Right from the start I knew I had picked a very special kitten. He's such a clown!!! I could have had the worst day at work but the moment I get home and find him waiting just behind the door when I open it, makes it all worth while! He always greets me with loudest purr I've ever heard.
He does some of the funniest things!
* He LOVES playing fetch with his favorite thing 'a nectarine seed'.
* He LOVES playing 'hide and seek'.
* He LOVES to run up the fly screen door (and being a 7.5kg cat the screen has seen better times) then does his tight-rope stance on top of the wooden front door. Of course he stays there meowing for me to come and rescue him....lol
* He LOVES to go for a walk on his lead in our back yard.
Oh and his favorite thing he LOVES to do is to play 'GOTYA' by springing out at me from any hiding spot, when I least expect it! (my poor old well scratched ankles show signs of those encounters....lol)
It doesn't matter to me what he does, I just LOVE HIM!!!!!!
