True Yuwie friends... or not?

I've been a member of Yuwie since September and have met a lot of people. Some I consider good friends, some are likeable, fair-minded acquaintances (people I have a good feeling about but either don't share common interests with or don't know well enough yet to know if we do have common interests) and some are blatant opportunists. What are the traits of a true Yuwie friend? All of this of course is just my own opinion; if you agree or disagree I'd appreciate feedback comments. If you'd rather not comment, that's OK too.

The True Yuwie Friend ~
This is the person who returns your profile comments, looks at your photo albums & blogs and occasionally has something to say about a few of them. Sometimes they'll even message you personally about something that has absolutely nothing to do with making money. Now I understand that everyone doesn't have time to login in every day and return all their comments and/or message their favorite friends. We all get sick, get busy or just aren't in the mood now and then. And some of us have older computers and/or dial up connections that make Yuwie-ing a slow process, even when the system is working at full speed. But True Yuwie Friends make an effort.

The Fair-Minded Acquaintance ~
This is the person that you may not have much in common with so you don't visit one another's pages as much as those of your "favorite friends". But this person is fair. They may not have a lot of time to spend on Yuwie but will spend part of that time visiting those who have visited them. If you tell them you've added one of their referrals they've posted about on the notice board, they will thank you and offer to add one of yours. Their blogs will have some content besides "I made XXX$ on Yuwie and you can too if you join these programs (as a part of their downlines of course)

The Opportunist ~
Most of their many notice board posts are geared towards getting YOU to do something for THEM.
"Add my referrals."
"Join this program" (for which they will get referral credit)
There's nothing wrong with occassionally posting notices like this. If a special friend or relative joins Yuwie it's natural to want to introduce them to our friends list. Occasionally we find a program or get an idea that we truly believe will help us all make more money and want to share it. But if this is ALL a person is posting about, this is opportunism not friendship. Some of my favorite notices read "I have new music...photos...videos... recipes.... a layout... or a blog-about-something-besides making money on my page... please visit" Those who also post notices like this are the people I want to visit and keep on my friends list. How about you?

Hi CatAnna,
I agree with your comments and, of course, consider you a true Yuwie friend.

i agree with your comments and would say that we are probably fair weather friends , we have other friends that we have perhaps more in common with and because of time constraints are more likely to visit them or perhaps you are like me and might vist but cannot think of anything to say . As I dont use glitter comments its even harder to think of something to say. As for the referrals , I only have two , my mum and my husband so I feel a bit embarrassed trading them , if they arent already with you anyway!

I consider myself a true Yuwie friend to those friends who share my interests and some that I have just come to love, respect, admire.
I consider you a true Yuwie friend and I hope that's mutual.
You'll never get a business related message from me because I don't have a business.
Love ya my friend

Hey Cat,

I hope we can become better friends.

All I know about Friends:

If you loan a friend $20.00 and you never here from them again. It was worth it!

A friend will bail you out of jail. A true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Darn that was fun".

I actually enjoy looking a peoples pages and pics and their page designs. I'm annoyed when people give what amounts to orders to read this moneymaking blog , do this/do that, etc. If I visit you I will look at the blogs without being told to do so. I don't always comment on them, but i will leave a rating or graphic to show I was there. If I left a comment on every blog I read, I would never get through even my top friend list, at least not and have a life!!! ~~smiles~~

I have found that some of us are on many sites together, usually without even trying.
We are friends here and there and everywhere and I am so happy that you and John are mine.

Hi CatAnna, your right! can i add, that there are fake yuwie friends that ask you to play a message game (message back and forth to get to know your friends & get page views) but u find that you take the time to do this and every message u recieve is a re: lol..and usually i wont say anything and ill still actually go to thier page hit the message button anyways.your right though and you can tell who makes an effort and who dosnt! great blog

I used to consider myself a true Yuwie friend but lately with everything that has been going on for me I think I have downgraded myself!!!! So today I'm trying to make up for it.

I agree with you.

I have met some really great people here on Yuwie, and I've only been here a little while!

It sort of drives me crazy when I see all of someone's blog entries focused on getting you to join this program or that one. I like to read about people's thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

I'm going to request to add you as a friend, as I just stumbled upon your profile tonight :)

I fully agree CatAnna and I really get tired of getting hit with do this or that messages/comments constantly, so I'm going to start deleting and blocking them. Some don't even try to show any friendship and start immediately with the 'friendly' sales pitch....only for self interests. All of my posts are about saving lives and nothing about M. O. N. E. Y. I'm willing to help my 'true' friends with that effort, but first comes friendship, then comes help. One of my rolls as a Disabilities Advocate is to search for ways for them to make a fair living because many of them can't work 'average' jobs, so I'm certainly not against making money...everyone needs to, BUT, I am against intrusion, or conning people into working for 'pennies' on the dollar while others receive big profits....or 'using' the naive. Thanks for your post dear friend!! Mara

Good blog. I'm a bit busy now to be good friends with anyone. I'm away helping out my daughter who just had boy #3. I just changed him, did laundry and dishes and am about ready for bed. Someday when I'm home again, I hope to be around more.
