Parents; If You read Nothing Else I Write You Must Read This!!!
I live in Broward County Florida, On Wednesday September 14, 2009 a High School student was stabbed to death by another student over a girl….. Now I know that this is not exclusive to just where I am living. What I want to know is how and why kids think that they can settle differences using weapons. What we have here is a DEAD STUDENT AND ANOTHER WHO WILL SPEND THE REST OF HIS LIFE IN PRISION.
Here in South Florida a news station reviewed the statistics of crime in schools via the school boards web site and guess what they found. Things like kids carrying weapons, using or selling drugs on school property, bullying, ect have been completely under reported when compared to the actual police reports.
Thursday September 17, police in Miami and Broward Counties arrested 7 kids in seven different schools on weapons charges. Knives, Taser Guns, Handguns.
My word I want to know where the parents of these kids are.
Parents do not seem to care until their child gets beaten up, shot, stabbed, OR WORSE.
We blame the schools, but the blame rests on the parents of these children. Friends this is what happens when there is no respect taught to kids and they are allowed to do as they darn well please. The heck with the A.C.L.U we need to put morals back into the learning processes. Bring God back to the schools!!!
Parents I would suggest that you start locking up your weapons, or get rid of them. These kids are getting their weapons from one of two places either your home or the street.
I only hope and pray that the school system prosecutes these offences to the fullest range of the law. School should by for learning not for killing.
Parents we all need to start parenting again and taking care of our kids they spend too much time with violent games, watching sex and violence on television, just being desensitized to the very violence being committed.
I guess the schools will have to put in metal detectors and we will have to treat all the kids like terrorists. |
