When I began my journey in the home business industry I was very naive. I literally thought everyone would see what I saw and would instantly join my business. I learned very quickly that wasn't the case.
Like most people, I didn't follow the advice of my mentors, I tried to do it on my own and I failed in a big way. The first 98 people I shared my business program with did not join my business. Now, most people wouldn't have made it past the first 10 that told them "they were crazy" or "those things never work." So how did I get through 98? Was I some sort of natural born superstar? Was I just lucky? No!
Thankfully within a week of joining my program I listened in on a company wide training conference call and on the call a top money earner in the company gave some advice that changed my life - advice that I'm passing on to you so hopefully you'll pass it on to others. That advice was this: "Don't ever take advice from people you don't want to be like financially!"
I went on to add my own philosophy to this: Don't ever take advice from people you don't want to have the lifestyle of!
See, in my family I had a lot of people offering me their opinion and "advice" on what I should do with my life. None of these people earned the income that I desired and of the ones that did, they all worked 90 hour weeks and never enjoyed their life - and still lived "paycheck to paycheck."
That's what got me through all the rejection and negativity from the people who "cared" for me the most.
If someone you know tells you that "those things never work" or "that's a scam" or "my sister's best friends cousin tried that and has a garage full of stuff" - and this person has never earned more than $40,000 a year in their life and lives paycheck to paycheck then why on earth would you take their opinion to heart? Do they earn the income you desire? No! Do they have the lifestyle you want? No!
My advice is to associate with people who are successful and learn to think the way they do. Find a vehicle that you believe in and work that vehicle consistently in the time that you've alloted! And most importantly don't let anyone take you off your path!
