In 1988 at the age of 24, I discovered the miracle of investing in real estate; I had really acquired the knowledge how. I started looking at homes with a relative who was more that twice my age. Someone I looked up to and admire as a leader. I value his judgment so I wanted him to look at the homes I choose, before I made an offer. Every home we saw he gave me numerous reasons why this was not the one, from the home is too old the roof is bad the neighbor-hood is not safe, to plumbing, electrical problems. Everyone of these home I saw the opportunity to buy at a reduce price and receive a check at closing for the repairs. But, my "Relative" would always say when it goes wrong remember I told you. 8 months later I still had not bought my first home. I decided it was time I started looking at homes alone. I bought my first place a few months later. Today 1/31/2008 I own a few Million Dollars in Real Estate. My Relative still has not bought his first home 20 years later. ****This is a true story.**** I lead by example. I remove negative influences that only serve to kill or stifle my dreams and goals. I do the same things I tell my team to do. I am never satisfied, I always strive to learn more do more and Be better at every thing I do. Some time we must do things that are uncomfortable and make sacrifices for a comfortable future.
