Rise Up to the Next Level
| It is your time to rise up and take your assignment in the Kingdom of God. You need to refuse to live in lukewarmness and mediocrity. You need to have a vision of incline not decline, of increase not decrease.
I. Conditions you must meet to rise up to the next spiritual level - Philippians 3:12-14. A. Press on and lay hold of that which Christ Jesus has laid hold of for you. B. Forget those things which are behind. Forget past failures and past sins. Forget and let go of any pride of past accomplishments. C. Reach forward to those things which are ahead. D. Press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
II. Going to the next level takes faith. A. Noah – by faith Noah built the ark and God led him every step of the way. B. Abraham – by faith he had to leave the known and walk into the unknown. C. Joseph – by faith he was diligent, faithful, and respectful and rose to the top. D. Moses – by faith he delivered the Hebrew people. E. Gideon – by faith he delivered the Israelites. F. Peter, James, and John – by faith they left their nets and followed Jesus. G. Saul – by faith he wrote half the books of the New Testament.
III. Reasons to rise up to the next level. A. To fulfill the holy purpose God has for your life – Jeremiah 29:11. B. So your life will not get stagnant and boring – Deuteronomy 2:3, Isaiah 43:19. C. To bear much fruit – John 15:8.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS • How are you meeting the conditions to rise up to the next spiritual level? • What is your step of faith in going to the next level? • What is your reason to rise up to the next level in God?
BE A DOER OF THE WORD To go to the next spiritual level you need to have a divine discontentment. Begin to pray the prayer of Jabez in I Chronicles 4:10 – “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil.”
