With God Nothing Is Impossible

FOR WITH GOD NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE

In this lesson you will learn the way to receive the impossible is to have faith, endurance, and not give up.

  1. For with God nothing is impossible – Luke 1:37-45.
    1. Luke 1:37 – “For with God nothing will be impossible.” The angel Gabriel told Mary she would have a child by the Holy Spirit who would be the Son of God. When things appear impossible, add the God factor - one addition to the equation is God.
    2. Luke 1:38 – Mary’s answer – “Let it be to me according to your word.”
      1. God said it.
      2. Mary believed it.
      3. The miracle happened.
    3. Luke 1:45 – Elizabeth said to Mary – “Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment (performance) of those things which were told her from the Lord.”
  2. How to receive the impossible.
    1. You have to have faith to receive what God has for you.
      1. Faith is like a key that unlocks a door where there is a room filled with all that God has. God doesn’t hide things from us, He hides things for us.
      2. Faith is like a bridge that connects us with a living God and you need endurance to stay on the bridge to reach the other side, which is your destination.
      3. Faith is like an airplane and it is sometimes so far off you can’t even see. Faith will take you where you need to be.
  3. The steps to the impossible - 1 Samuel 17:36.
    1. David told King Saul how he could slay the giant.
      1. First, David killed the lion.
      2. Second, he killed the bear.
      3. The first two victories prepared him to slay the giant, Goliath.
      4. What you learn in one battle prepares you for the next, and the important thing is to not quit and give up.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

  • What have you learned in one battle that has prepared you for the next one?
  • Share an area of your life where you are believing God for the impossible.
  • How have you used your faith to endure and not give up?

Thanks for reminding us that we should be expecting the impossible -- to not be afraid to ask for the impossible. Blessings.

I am trusting God to see me through my sorrow after losing my husband. I am disabled, and need desperately to earn a living for myself above what the government deems it sufficient to live on. I am trusting God, by faith, to help me do this. God has been so good to me, and I know that He will continue to be. I am covered by the blood of His Son, and I am an adopted child of the King. There are no limitations as to what my Father, the King, can do. Amen!

Let it be to me according to your Word. That is an affirmation I will keep for today as my family is broken and hurting from alcoholism.Yet years ago in intercession God showed me the kids and I would be used for a healing ministry.Right now it seems like a joke.My older 2 have turned(but they are Chrsitians and born leaders) my younger 2 love the Lord and I am broken physically and emotionally BUT Gods Word is TRUE and AMEN and what He has promised will lHe also not do??
