Lost a Friend!

I was surprised when I got the alert from Yuwie today mentioning that I have lost a friend. I went to my Inbox and found the message about the friend who has deleted me from her friend list.

Thank you Yuwie for informing me about that and I wonder why do we have to delete some people from our list when that person is generally active? I find that to be weird and strange.

Why join a social networking site when you do not want to be friends with others.

To that person, all the best to her! To all my other friends who did not delete me, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Hi Shaxx, I am confused -- is this a yuwie friend or a mylot friend? Anyway, it never feels nice -- I have had it done to me, too, and I was even blocked!! (they thought I was a snitch, but didn't confront me, just made a nasty comment and then block, so I had no means of replying...) You just have to accept it and move on, and realise that it is their problem not yours... If they had a problem with you, they should have said something...
Having said that I notice that some members are purging their lists of people who don't visit... but even that is silly, who knows when you might, or when a post of theirs on the noticeboard appeal to you.. or they might gain some great friend thru you... Very short-sighted... Don't let it bother you

Now here is good thinking....if you want friendship...be a friend. Take the initiative to open paths of communication. I do not like the way some only look at Yuwie as a way to make money....it is nice to be sure. But it is a wonderful opportunity to get to know others, learn and grow as a person. If you are friendly....in the truest sense of the word...and show genuine interest in others, and they still don't visit...ok relax and see what happens....like the lady said...maybe someday you will be a blessing to them. Also, consider...maybe they do visit and do not leave traces of the visit....:)

I can answer why people are deleted and also they are being active. If a friend can comment 6 other people the same day but not you why? Also if a friend is sitting on your friends list and not bothering to send you anything then your bound to be deleted. OK when someone is ill or needs a time out, they tell their friends so we all know. If a friend cannot be bothered to come to your page to leave comments and uses the controversial control panel, be expected to be deleted again as the friend not getting a page view is not benefiting at all. The new tendency is for new members to want to add you as a friend and then they do not bother sending any comments or ratings. This is not acceptable at all. So they can be expected to be deleted from friends pages. Why try to get thousands of friends when the help and support should be helping your active friends.

Why is it that we must benefit from a friend on our list....?? this is not good thinking...istead why not think this way...'I will visit them and encourage them in our friendship and hopefully they will respond? It takes two be friends...and if someone does not visit...perhaps you were not 'friendly' to them. It is sad that some are here for their own benefit..ie making money....and not to share with other in the truest sense of the word FRIEND.
