Last week, I was busy designing websites, blogging, publishing my latest book and balancing other magazine articles...so when my Editor-in-chief called asking if I was at all interested in taking over the reigns of her International Music ezine, I naturally jumped at the opportunity! Who would have thought it possible? Just shows you life can be so unpredictable, and right when i was already applying for a position as a Virtual Assitant! With that role, skills in editing, proofreading, resume documents and so on were required...not that I didn't have these, i just hadn't upgraded one of my PC's to accept some of the neccessary sopftware which a VA requires! So, while busily hunting down the various Microsoft outlets, low and behold the phone rings. In steps my next job offer...funnily enough, this position covers the following:

•  Organise interviews with music acts from different genres.
•  Keep up to date the Video/Audio, Events and News sections.
•  Send out assignments to writers--deadlines a MUST!.
• Inform acts or their management when an interview is published.
• Write the editorial--a few lines about each issue.
• Edit in detail - punctuation, grammar, sentence structre, design and links.
• Archive issues.

Luckily for me, I have already been doing most of these, but that includes the celebrity interviews which are coming thick & fast! Thanks to my sisters of the baby boomer divas, there's already a list of great musical talent just waiting to be listed! While i am catching up on a couple of local talent, it will be interesting to see how this all pans out but boy, am I ever up for this job! Okay, I have to get some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's before my last minute dash to the shops! Christmas Eve here is all about those presents yet to get, wrapping and COOKING!
