At work today in my office I got this sales call. And I will say if you have someone that is this stupid making the phonecalls for your company please fire them or move them to another section of the company... Names of the company have been left out just to show that this company may not be as stupid as this person shows them to be...

Me: Good Afternoon this is Sound Impressions.
SO: Good Afternoon, I would like to speak to the person that handles the account decisions for www.storystick.com.
Me: Speaking
SO: Well my name is ****** and I am with ****** and we would like to design, host, and operate your website.
Me: Wait a minute. Did you just say you want to handle my website? Have you ever been to my website?
SO: No I have not but our company is willing to build your website and operate it at the lowest cost of most of our competitors.
Me: So if you have checked out the site that you are trying to get a contract for you would have noticed that I am your competition! Why would I have my own competition build my website just to show off my competitors work?
SO: We feel our work would bring you the best quality website to bring more customers to your business.
Me: Wait wait wait, So your telling me I would get a website most likely with stuff that I can't do. So I can advertise your company and at the same time hope that they pick me to develope their website. Why would I hand my prospective clients over to my competition????
SO: Huh?
Me: Ok lets do a little Roleplay here I call your company ****** and I say this. Hi, this is ***** and I am with StoryStick Productions we want to build your website. What would you say?
SO: No, cause we design host and build websites.
Me: Well duh! So why would I pay you to desing my site so my customers would see your work.
SO: uh uh uh
Me: That would be the dumbest thing I could do as a business owner is hand my prospective clients right over to you. So if your going to try and get new clients by calling them out at random you should type the website in at another browser window and know who your talking to before you goto
