Well as you may have figured out from the slideshow or from what you have read around here I am a Facade Engineer.
This basically is an Engineer who specialises in the construction of the outside of buildings.
I am currently on a project here in the Centre of Brisbane on the East coast of Australia. The job is slowly gearing up. We are currently prepping the Level 1 to Level 2 Podium. If all goes to plan 'my' work will kick off in June as that is when our Glass supplier starts installing on Level 4.
Now just to put you into the picture we can typically build a floor (also know as a plate) a week!! As the building is 160m high containing 35 floors it should take us 35 weeks or so to complete it.
So my count down has begun, and the clock is ticking...all I am waiting for is the starters gun.
In the meantime I will get another trip to China early in May to see more of the panels being manufactured.
