 | Yuwie no longer sending checks! Do you have Alertpay or Paypal? | Yuwie has decided to no longer send checks as a pay option. You will need either a paypal or alertpay account.
Most people already have a paypal account, if you don't like paypal you can get an alertpay account for free by clicking the link above, or go to y guy's blog where there is also a link.
Like a lot of members, I preferred getting the check, but since it is no longer an option, I personally prefer Alertpay. Either way, you'll need to go into your account settings, click on 'payment settings" enter your paypal or alertpay info and you're all set. Be sure to do it before the end of the month. Smile and Be Happy. Its still Money!
Below is the current Alertpay breakdown of fees etc. For a "standard" account. Business accounts also available.

 | My Rant for the Day (free advertising) | Here is an idea for those of you who are going to make a million dollars from a matrix or the next best beverage, additive, ebook or whatever. Quit using Yuwie as your personal FREE advertising agency. According to the intro videos, we get PAID by advertisers. Since you are advertising FREE, you are ROBBING Yuwie and all its members of revenue. Why in the world would you expect a "good rsr" when potential advertisers see that you are doing it for free, why should they even buy an ad? It turns them off! It turns the "new yuwie members" off. Please people, don't destroy Yuwie, buy an ad or take the advertising elsewhere. If this offends you, the truth usually hurts, do something about it, pay for your ad, after all you're making a million, right?
Yuwie has been a great place and I am proud to be a part of it. I enjoy reading blogs, watching the videos, the wonderful comments coming in. Most of the members are thoughtful and polite and ones who you could proudly call your friends. It is these individuals who make Yuwie great.and I wish to thank them for their efforts.
Thats my rant for the day. Comments anyone?
.

 | I have been Tagged again! Thanks Heather! | I have been tagged by Heather
The way this works, if you get tagged, you're suppose to write 10 things about yourself so here goes,
1 I am father to one son, and three daughters, and now grandfather to eight grandchildren, and "god father" to three that would like to have been part of the family, even tho they have their own parents, They will always still by "my" children.
2 Marriage for me has been wonderful, been together since 1972, still as much in love as the day we were married.
3 I am a veteran of the armed forces, served in the Navy, mostly in the Mediterranian Sea area, aboard the USS Franklin D Roosevelt, one of the first aircraft carriers made and long since decommissioned. Then later, the Army, where I was stationed at Fort Polk, La, serving as a mail clerk/cannon crewman.
4 I love arguing politics, studying the Bible, the country life, and old cars (sorry but these days most of the newer cars are so much alike, have to look for the "name tag" on the car to see what kind it is). What ever happened to "style"?
5 I like watching the cable news and science channels,( no not Fox!), nascar, and good old fashioned movies.
6 I don't like being in crowded situations, so I watch races, movies at home in my living room.
7 I enjoy being on the "net" with Yuwie, where I've met so many nice people. I grew up with typewriters, my kids had to teach me to use computers and the internet. Lol
8 They call me "old fashioned", I believe in the golden rules, and believe that morals shouldn't change with the times, and wish the TV shows and movies would not stoop to sexual content to get viewers. Maybe thats why I enjoy watching the old shows, and old movies.
9 My version of a good vacation is to go somewhere new .There is so much to see and do without going the same place all the time, My favorite region is the southern United States.
10 I love life and am looking forward to what comes after.
Who's next? I will be tagging 10 people, will it be you?

 | The Big Bailout Fannie Mae and other Financial Banks and Companies | For years the common man has been getting the shaft. From insurance companies, loan companies, banks, government, you name it. They made tons of profit which made them even greedier. The companies who made all that money and convinced congress to pass the new version of bankrupcy laws not long ago now want us to bail them out. Oh really?
Why should we even consider such a thing? If you lost your business, did they bail you out? If you lost your home, did they bail you out? Gambling is what it is gambling, they gambled and lost. Send them to gamblers anonymous, not back on vacation by bailing them out with our money.
oh, they are too big to fail? Disastrous results if we don't bail them out? Its disastrous to bail them out! Setting a precedent of bailing out big business just because they are big business is not too bright. Break them up into smaller companies and sell them to the highest bidder, put a stop to these monopolies and this problem won't be happening again.
Whatever happened to our laws against monopolies? No wonder our economy has gone south. Competition makes for sound policies. We need to open all aspects from cable companies, news media, and up to oil companies, up for competition. there is no real competition so we get shafted.
That makes our presidential election even more important with our economic system on the rocks. Please get informed if you live here in our United States. Don't believe the "news media" research for yourself.
The line is just beginning, so lets put a stop to it now, not later. We can't afford this bill. talk about wasteful spending and earmarks! Seems we did something like this before with the Chrysler Corporation, should have let it go the way of former car companies, like Studebaker, American Motors, Hudson Motor Co. and the rest. We survived them just fine. And look whats happened, still making gas guzlers, importing foreign parts not caring about improving mileage, other types of engines that do not rely on gasoline, diesel, biofuels.
You reap what you sow. Suck it up and take it like a man is my advice to these companies like fannie mae and others lining up for a government bailout. Its your turn to take the shaft.
