| NCAA 29/1 Pacific - Cal Poly Slo |
- The Tigers are big favorite here because they shined with better performance this season mading better record 14-5 w/l.
Pacific are very good at home 7-1 w/l and will win here and will win with solid difference.Last season like a away team the Tigers lost and this stop 8 wins in a row against the Mustangs but in this game they was with lots injured players. Now with full squad Pacific will try to get impressive win with doule digit result. The Mustangs are poor team this season with 7-11 w/l record and poor form lately 3-7 w/l.The Mustangs are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games like a underdog.THe Home team is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these 2 teams. Take the Tigers here...

 | 29/1 NCAA San Francisco - Santa Clara | Home advantage is a really important in games like these between teams like the Dons and the Broncos. The Dons are tipical home team with 5-14 w/l record this season overall record. They looked like a worst team in this clash, but for me the Dons will take this one. My expectations big star on San Francisco forward Dior Lowhorn to lead his team at home.In this team also have potencial good players like guards Manny Quezada and Myron Strong, but short bench is big problem for the Dons this season. Santa Clara come with better record 10-9 w/l,but lost 4 in a row when played like away team and dropped his form. Take the Dons here...

 | 2008-01-29 IC - Mali |
-
- You don't exactly have to be rocket scientist to figure out most probable outcome of this game. Both teams will qualify to 1/4 with draw, IC first, Mali 2nd, leaving Nigeria out. I don't care what players and coaches says or will say, this one has draw written all over it. Both teamswill rather qualify to 1/4 then play tight, tiring game to decide who will play against who from group A in 1/4. IC wll surely miss Kolo Toure, while Mali M.Diarra but other players will probably get rested before 1/4 games. Games between West African teams are usually tight, low-scoring ands scrappy so what to expect in a game between two West African sides when draw will satisfy them. This two French-speaking countries and will leave English-speaking Nigeria out of the tournament with a draw msot probably. Of course odds on draw reflect the situation here, but stll I give a draw more chance then 50%, so I can take this bet. I expect very lazy performance from both sides and sleepy game here.

 | 2008-01-29 Guinea - Namibia(+2) |
-
- Namibians after being trashed 1-5 by Morocco got great handicap and very high odds in game against Ghana. But as we saw, after getting 3 players back after suspensions, regrouping the defence and playing more tactically, Namibia put a brave, good resistance to Ghana, losing only 0:1, and they were happy after it. They'll want another such performance, for the sake of their pride(pride is important thing you know..). As for Guinea, they produced fine effort to beat Morocco and now they need a win here to be almost sure of qualification(they'll fail if Ghana and Morocco produce 2:3 game which is not very likely). But they can't change their fate by scoring goals here, they just need a win, be it 1:0 or 10:0, no difference. They share many traits of West African teams: talented by often unconcentrated, sleepy, creating chances just to blaze the ball high over the bar. Most important thing is, they'll play without Pascal Feindouno in this game. He is heart of the team, captain, best player, freekick and penalty taker, most creative player etc. Without him orchestrating the midfield, Guinea will have trouble creating clear chances. They of course have many other talented players, but Feindouno was adding that extra bit. Feindouno has most goals in career for Guinea in current squad, for example in qualification to 2008 ANC Guinea didn't won a game when Feindouno didn't scored in a game, he score in 3 of 6 games and they've won those 3. Namibians will want another brave display and Guinea might not have it easy in this game, getting past Namibia defence without Feindouno. Maybe I'm riding my luck betting on poor Namibia again, but I like this high handicap too m

 | FOOTBALL AFRICA CUP 24/1 Ivory Coast - Benin | IC did their job against Nigeria, getting a win in scrappy game after fantastic Kalou's action. They proved they are good at both back and up front, altough Drogba look off form. Benin as predicted lost against Mali in another scrappy game. Ic doesn't have to win this one big, they just need a win to be almost sure of qualifictaion. But all their fancy forwards will capitalise from Benin's defensive mistakes here and I expect at least two goals from IC. Benin are brave side, it's a shame they ended up in this group of death. But they couldn't hold against Mali without making defensive mistakes and against IC they'll make even more. On the other end they don't have firepower to score against IC solid defence. IC boast solid record over Benin, 6-1-1, goals 13-2. In most recent games, in WC2006 quals, IC won 1:0 away and 3:0 at home. pick Ivory Coast -1 | | Posted: 1/23/2008 at 21:01 | Read 63 times | 0 comments | Leave Comment |
 | FOOTBALL AFRICA CUP 24/1 Morocco - Guinea | Life's cruel sometimes. So I'm writing all those predictons praising Morocco and even placing bet on them to win ANC and now I end up betting against them. That's life, finding value is the essence of betting and we have it here. Thing with Morocco is, 5-1 against poor Namibia impressed public opinion and bookies too. Now odds on them are set differently and we won't have those ridiculous odds like we got when they played Namibia. Of course I stand after everything I wrote about Morocco, they are great team indeed and possible title contenders here. Hat-trick hero Alloudi won't play against Guinea. So what about Western Africans? They lost 1-2 in opening game, after Muntari's late goal. Altough Ghana was better team, Guinea could have get a point. Now they are have only one objective which is to win against Morocco. Be sure that you didn't saw Guinea at their best against Ghana. They played clearly for draw and fielded more defensive minded team. Against Morocco they'll play to win and with big motivation. They can handle such situations, look how they beat Algeria away to qualify to ANC. I think they'll field different, more offensive line-up too. On the other hand Morocco will want a win but they won't cry over draw too. This one will be tight game, with one team playing for life. Moroccans are favourites, but not so big. Or to say it other way - you can't write off Guinea yet, they dind't said their last word and with all the talent they have they have more chance here then odds suggest. Tight game expected and this handicap is excellent while I can also advice taking 0,5 and x2 with Morocco favoured too much pick Guniea 0.5 | | Posted: 1/23/2008 at 20:59 | Read 20 times | 0 comments | Leave Comment |
 | NBA pick 24/1 New Orleans - Portland | Great game between the 2 big surprises of the year so far!
New Orleans lead the Southwest Division before Dallas and San Antonio! and when you see them playing you can understand why, their last home wins were very impressive, killing their opponent at defense and working their great offense,C.Paul become one of NBA Finest PG and when Peja is shooting well its become very very hard to stop this team, inside West and Chandler are doing great work and they even improve their home Record to 13-7,winning 8 out of their last 10 home games.
The other huge surprise is Portland which leads the Northwest Division aboce Denver and Utah! ,leading by the great 2nd year player B.Roy which is also doing everything on court, but the big addition is LaMarcus Aldridge which his AVG rise to 17.3 PPG at this season.
With a huge boost from their 13 wins in araw,Portland continue to play great basketball, winning 7 of 11 games, includes 3out of 6 straight away games, this will be their last away games before going back home to play 6 straight home games.
The teams met 3 time so far,NO won at home while Portland won in the last 2 games,at Portland.
I rank New Orleans as the better team here, with more offensive options, and better defense team, another advantage should be in the paint with Chandler and West,in the last game Peja was out,and in the game before he shot 2-13,at home he will be the biggest approvment in NO,such as will lead them to an easy win.

 | NBA pick 24/1 PHI 76ers - Detroit | Detroit lost 3 in araw, their 2 last losses were at away games,at Orlando and Chicago.
Detroit had great record at December, losing only twice while winning 15! they also won 7 away games at that month, after their great 11 wins in araw they lost to Boston and Dallas,in both games Detroit's players said its not too bad for them to lose these games, they have enough experience and these guys understand that they can win forever.
Meanwhile at Jan. Detroit lost 6 games already, and that too much for them, all their players are healthy and Detroit are still one of NBA elite teams,i cant see them losing 4 in araw, not at Philly.
Philadelphia with only 8-12 home record, but this team is playing the best they can,and its not common to see them getting trashed, but with only one go to go guy it will be very hard for them against such agreat defensive team.
Detroit wont lose for the 4th time in araw,i think they will play in full power at this one, leaving Philly without a real chance to win this one.

 | NBA pick 24/1 Boston - Toronto | The Celtics are amazing team this season with 33-6 w/l record, but tonight i think they will have problems against Toronto. Maybe many peaple will take Boston, but this team cant win in every game with solid difference and Toronto are motivated to make problems on favorite also like the Wizards team do this 2 times in a row. Toronto have enough good potencial with Chris Bosh,Andrea Bargnani,Anthony Parker and Jose Calderon. Take the Raptors to stay close in this game...

 | NBA pick 24/1 Cleveland - Washington | The Cavs start season not so good, but now they are in solid form with record of 22-18 w/l.Like a champion on Eastern Conference the Cavs need to keep good level on display and especially at home looked good team. Washington are with 22-17 w/l by now and this is without their big star Gilbert Arenas.Surprised or not they made better record exactly when Arenas is out.The Wizards are better at home team,so away from home ill try to bet against them. LeBron James is in solid form keeping good balance for his team this season.Maybe much more are expected of Larry Hughes, but at home overall the Cavs are better team and will dominated.
