Hello All, I regret to inform everyone that within 24-72 hours I will be losing my internet access, and for how long I am not sure of yet. Probably 6 months at the least…maybe longer. I would just like to say a few things.

To my Friends here on Yuwie, please share my posted blogs with your friends and referrals on Yuwie as they will help them tremendously. Every time you make a new friend or referral, send them my page (www.yuwie.com/embones) and have them read my blogs.

To my Referrals: Please continue to promote and grow your downline. I will be forwarding my home number out to each of you in a message within the next 24 hours (internet connection permitting) with which you will be able to reach me. I do not know the # yet, but I should within 24 hours. Please grow your referral trees and get your referrals to grow their trees. Get on top of your referrals and make them active!

I will return on Yuwie and all of you as soon as I can. I hate to part from the internet, Yuwie, and all of you, but unfortunately this unforeseeable turn of events as inconvenienced my life for now and complicated it.

Well, while I could write this out, I figured it would be much faster (and pretty cool) to do an audio blog. I found this widget on another users profile (thanks Delila) and decided it was a pretty good idea so I wouldn’t have t write everything out and could just speak…much easier I think.

Why the 1 Billion Page Views message is SPAM and a Chain Letter

¨ Requesting it to be sent to 10 other people

¨ There are only 125,000 active members out of 500,000 (25%)

¨ To get to 1 billion page views:

o 10 people add you

o 100 people add you

o 1000 people add you (1110)

o 10,000 people add you (11,110)

o 100,000 people add you (111,110) 5^th level.

¨ Let’s say that all 125,000 active members do take part in this and all 125,000 members are friends with the other 124,999 members on the site (pretty big friends lists). So we still want that 1 Billion Page Views right?

¨ Well all 125,000 members are going to have to visit the each of the other 124,999 profiles 8,000 times per month (or at least give 8,000 page views one way or another).

¨ That’s every single profile that you have give 8000 page views to…124,999 times!

¨ That’s 267 page views, per day (given a 30 day standard month) per profile/person/friend.

¨ Now there are only 24 hours in a day, and lets say (however unrealistic it is) that all members do not work and do not sleep for a total of 30 days and spend that entire time on Yuwie…nonstop. 267/24 hours = 11.125 page views each hour to all 125,000 members…that’s 1,390,625 page views you have to give to the rest of the Yuwie community every hour!!

¨ Let’s take this a bit further, there are 60 minutes in each hour, so that’s 23,177.08 page views you need to give out every minute.

¨ Ok, but every page view has to be 3 seconds apart from the last one to count, right? So let’s divide this # by 20 as that’s the total page views per minute we can give out. 23,177.08/20 = 1,158.85 page views every 3 seconds that you PERSONALLY are responsible for giving out. Now when you can only give out 1 page view every 3 seconds…how do you expect to fulfill that?

Let’s also talk about how this will lower the RSR and (even if you could reach 1 billion page views) why you will never see that massive amount of money you think you’ll be getting. Korry pays users based on several factors. One being the $ amount he receives from advertisers, and we users get a % of that (which is SUPPOSED to be 50%). So what Korry does is takes the total page views for the site, and figures out how much the RSR should be based on the Total Page Views accumulated by All Yuwie members so as to spread it around evenly. Now here you are sitting with 1 billion page views. That RSR is going to drop really really low to accommodate you because your page views are so high, you’re going to make more than Korry did from the advertisers if he didn’t lower the RSR. Remember, Yuwie/Korry is not making $20 million/month right now. Yuwie is still pretty small. In time it will grow as the user base grows, the content grows, and then the RSR will follow suit as more and bigger advertisers will come to Yuwie to advertise. But if Yuwie’s getting over 1 billion page views (and that’s just for one person) then the advertisers are going to leave if their not getting any traffic because everyone skips past the ads just to give/get page views and don’t take the time to pay attention to the ads! So the advertisers leave because they’re not getting their money’s worth, so the RSR takes a dive, and that’s after your 1 billion page views which took the RSR for a dive as well, so now the RSR is at an all time low of just $0.01 - $0.10 max….and you didn’t make squat, and neither did the rest of Yuwie. Congratulations. All that spamming and chain letters for what…a few pennies and possible running Yuwie straight into the ground?

If you want to have more friends and increase your page views, why not just add more friends. Download linky, Browse Friends at the top, and add a couple hundred a day, talk to them, get to know them. Read their blogs, they’ll read yours. We all grow on here by mutually helping each other out. In due time we will all grow (if you so choose to get referrals) and make some money, but you have to remember that Yuwie is NOT a get rich quick scheme!

Oh yea, and if you do pass that Chain Letter around, and it comes to me, I will report it like the other 20-30 I’ve gotten thus far. I’ll get the free referrals from it while you get locked down and possibly deleted for a breach of TOS (terms of service for Yuwie).

I hope you all realize now that this 1 Billion Page Views chain letter is not going to help you and if anything will end up hurting you, me, and everyone else on Yuwie. Please do not do it.

By high demand, I shall outline for everyone the difference between SPAM vs PROMOTING / MARKETING in a manner that should follow Yuwie’s TOS (Terms of Service). If I miss anything, or my information is incorrect, please send me a message and let me know. Also, do NOT copy / paste this entire blog into your own as I have worked very hard on this. Please copy the blog address and paste that in a blog of your own if you wish so that people will come here to my blog to read this. Thanks.

Before I get into the nitty gritty, let me outline some terms that will be used in the explanations:

- UNSOLICITED: means that the Recipient has not granted verifiable permission for the message to be sent.

- BULK: means that the message is sent as part of a larger collection of messages, all having substantively identical content.

*** A message and/or email is only SPAM if it is both Unsolicited and Bulk. ***

An electronic message is also considered SPAM if the recipient’s personal identity and context are irrelevant because the message is equally applicable to many other potential recipients.

SPAM is an issue about consent, not content…and whether the sender has any consideration or care for the recipient or not. If not, then it is SPAM.

*** Now for how to PROMOTE / MARKET without being a SPAMMER! ***

If you want people to check out your sweet and nifty links to other sites (whether they are money making sites or not) the best way is to: Strike up a conversation with the person. Talk about whatever they want to talk about, normal stuff. Gradually bring in and hint at your site without really mentioning it. Make the person want to know more and ask to know more! When they do, give them a little more information…and they’ll ask to hear more again. Now you can send them the information in the message or direct them to a blog about what you were talking about. This is not considered Spam now because the person opted to know more information and requested it! See the difference?

That being said, Yuwie does not mind if you post links on the notice board to promote and get people to check out your blogs, clubs, pictures, etc as this is traffic contained within Yuwie and more ads are displayed the more you use the site. What Yuwie minds is when you start promoting and spamming links to sites outside and not affiliated with Yuwie! This is a breach of the TOS as laid out by Yuwie below:

If you want to promote things you do on Yuwie (blogs, pics, clubs, etc) then sending messages and invites are fine.  Realize though that by not giving the link directly, say…to your blog, you force the person to go to your profile first, then your blog (2 page views) as opposed to straight to your blog (1 page view). When posting things to the Notice Boards you can only put links in the notices if it is a Yuwie Link (to a blog, club, person, etc).  But if you don't include the link (as mentioned above) you will get more page views as they come to your profile to get to what they want to read or see. Just tell your friends (the ones who will see the notice) the purpose of the notice and leave it at that. If you posted a new blog, say “hey, I posted a new blog “XYZ” and its about ‘such and such,’ you might find it interesting.” Leave it at that. If your friend is interested, they’ll go to your profile and to the blog and read it.

If however you want to promote non-Yuwie related links/sites, KEEP THEM OFF OF THE NOTICE BOARD!! By non-Yuwie related, I am talking about all other money making sites, personal websites, etc. If you want to post this stuff somewhere, the safest place is in a blog. Again, do not advertise/spam this blog as it is a breach of the TOS laid out by Yuwie. Bring people to your profile based on other blogs, pics, etc and people will run across your other blogs with non-Yuwie related content. If you have traffic exchanges that you use and wish to share with other Yuwians, you can post those in blogs as well, and you can advertise this blog on the Notice Board IF AND ONLY IF the traffic exchange is FREE and DOES NOT PROMISE TO PAY YOU MONEY EARNED IN ANY MANNER. An example of this is TrafficSwarm (I have a blog on this as well) which is completely free.  You click through text ads to earn credits so that others can view and click on the ads you post (which would be your Referral URL) and you can get more Referrals this way. See, it helps Yuwie, doesn’t compete, therefore TrafficSwarm is considered non-Yuwie but non-threatening and therefore allowed on Yuwie.

As far as "please add my referrals" I might consider that spam as it can be sent in bulk, is not personalized, and was not requested. There is an easy work around for this though. Instead of sending the links in the message right off the bat, I would say send a preliminary message first asking if they would mind adding your referrals if you were to send them the links in a message. Then those that respond to your message with a positive answer you could then send them the links as they would have opted to receive those links. This is called Targeted Marketing and not Spam.

At least this gets you some more page views in the process!

You must be very careful how you go about promoting this on Yuwie. Yuwie is getting paid to advertise other ads and your posting all those ads for free is hurting Yuwie! If you truly want to get people to your other money making sites, why not just purchase some advertising space on Yuwie? Then it helps you and the RSR!

I hope this has helped you understand how to go about properly promoting things on Yuwie and what is considered SPAM. SPAM will not be tolerated.

** My Blog is Long as to be Thorough **

Hello All.  I would like to take a few minutes to explain some things about Yuwie that everyone is confused with at first when joining Yuwie.  I'll put is as simple, yet thorough, as I can.  To start, if you did not watch all 3 intro videos, please click the HOME button at the top, and click the Man under "WHAT IS YUWIE?"  Watch that video, click next, watch that one, click next again, and watch that video.  After watching those 3 videos, what I'm going to tell you next will make a little more sense.

Earnings are based on Page Views to Your Profile (wall comments, messages, pic comments, pic views, profile views, profile ratings, blog views, blog comments).  Thus, the more activity you bring to your profile, the more you will make.  This means that pictures and blogs are a great idea as they will bring you more Page Views.  The amount you are paid will very from month to month based on the RSR (Revenue Sharing Rate - the Ad Revenue) and the Page Views you have.  I will get into how to figure that out in a second.

Let me say something first before I get into all that What You Could Make jumbo lol.  You must understand that Yuwie is first and foremost a Social Network.  This social network though does pay its members for their activity.  Please don’t get the impression that there is fast money to be made here.  This is not a get rich quick scheme.  If you are on this site just to socialize, then add friends, socialize, and have fun!  The money will add up on its own on the side and it will just be a perk to you.  If however you are looking to make some decent money from Yuwie, there are a few things that you should know and understand.

Like I stated, Yuwie is not a get rich quick scheme.  If planning on making money through Yuwie, you must think long term…2-3 years down the line.  If you watched the videos, if not please go do so now before continuing to read this, you will have heard Kent (the guy in the video and YGUY’s brother) say that “The Power of Yuwie lies within Referrals” or something to that tune.  What this means is that if you want to make money on Yuwie, you should start recruiting new members underneath you.  This is done by giving people you know, and don’t know, your Yuwie Referral ID, located just beneath your Control Panel buttons on the left hand side of this screen.  By others clicking that, they will have been referred to Yuwie by you, and will go into your tree.  This means that you will not only get paid for your page views, but also for the page views of your referral, as the video stated you also get paid for the page views generated by your Downline (referral tree), but only percentages though, through 10 levels.  If the person you brought to Yuwie, your Level 1 referral, invites someone to Yuwie, you will get paid for their Page Views as well, as they are in your Level 2!!  See how this works? 

The more people you can get in your tree, the more you can make.  Please do not get discouraged after the first couple months if you are not making a lot.  Like I said, you have to decide where you want to be in 2 years, and strive for that.  I have been here for 2 months, and each month I make more than the previous month.  February is already looking to double or triple what I made in January.  You must always promote your referral link.

If you are reading this and you understood everything so far, you are ahead of a lot of people already, trust me.  Let’s talk about how getting paid works.  To get paid, you are required to fill out a Tax Form in the Account Settings section of the Control Panel (it’s the first box button with the picture of gears).  THERE IS NO RUSH TO FILL THIS OUT!!  Please remember that.  The tax form will ask you for your SSN or other Personal Identification Number your country uses, alarming I know, but because you stand to make money from Yuwie, Yuwie is required by law to report your earnings (when you get checks) to the Government.  You must then pay taxes on your earnings yourself as Yuwie will not deduct taxes for you.  When you have reached the minimum payout amount, you can choose payment by 2 methods: Paypal or Check.  NOTE: If you choose Check, a $1 fee will be deducted for printing the check/stamp/shipping fees.  No fees if you choose to receive payment through Paypal exist, yet.  I personally have mine set up for Check.  The minimum payout for Checks is $25 and the minimum payout for Paypal is $5.  I hear that YGUY is going to be lowing the Checks to $10 minimum.  I personally don’t see the point when you’ll only get $4 (80%) after the $1 deduction  (20% of the check), but that’s just me.  Anyway, the amount you get paid each month is figured between the 10-15^th of the following month.  So January’s earnings didn’t come out until Feb 6^th (they got them done early this month, don’t always count on that) which released what the RSR (rev sharing rate) was and how many page views you had, then calculated what you earned for each level (through 10 levels), adds them up, and gives you a total of what you earned for the month.  The formula was giving in the videos if you watched them.  For an example of what this report will look like, look at my blog for January Earnings. 

Again, I am not concerned that December and January I did not make much, because I know that I am increasing steadily and I know where I will be in 2 years.  Besides, what I’ve made thus far is more than Myspace or Facebook every paid me! Haha.  So, you are probably still wondering, “But if I don’t fill out the tax form, how will I get paid?”  Good question.  You won’t.  But, if you’re afraid of your information getting stolen/sold (which there is no reason to), then you can use Yuwie as a social network.  Your $ will however sit in your Yuwie account and build up over time.  If at a future period in time you wish to get paid, you will need to fill out the tax form, select your payment method, and Bingo, there you go.  All that was built up in your Yuwie account will now be able to be paid to you.  Nothing was lost!  As you see, there is no hurry to fill out those forms, until you are sure that is what you want to do.  In the mean time though while you decide, making friends on Yuwie and inviting friends to Yuwie are great places to start.  If you are going to want to make money, please remember these few things:

1)     Never turn down a friend request.  They will be the ones to give you more page views and earn you more money!

2)     Never spam anyone your Referral URL link outside of Yuwie

3)     Never spam a fellow Yuwian some other link for a site outside of Yuwie.  Promoting/Marketing is different than Spamming, and if you wish, I’d be more than happy to help you understand the difference.

4)     Have fun!  Remember, Yuwie is first and foremost a Social Network!
