Stop The Traffic

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Please join us on Saturday, April 19, 2008 for the 1 st Annual Freedom Fest and Displaced Orphans International Auction gala event entitled, “Stop the Traffic.” The event will be held at Embassy Suites in Lynnwood and includes a semi-formal dinner, dessert, acoustic concert, and stories of rescue and hope. The Silent Auction will begin at 5:00 PM , the dinner concert at 7:00 PM with the Live Auction following.

Freedom Fest is a community of people who express love through music and art. The goal is to see people set free spiritually. Freedom Fest reaches thousands through their annual summer festival, radio station and other music events. Freedom Fest provides a huge platform to bring awareness to these social injustices.

For the last seven years, DOI (Displaced Orphans Int’l.) has been devoted to ministering to the hill tribe children in Thailand and is passionate about changing the lives and futures of orphaned children around the world who would otherwise become part of the human trafficking epidemic. DOI is currently caring for 550 orphans and is seeking to support a Christian school that protects, educates, and cares for more than 1,000 students which is on the verge of shutting down without our support.

As we became aware of the epidemic problem of human trafficking a natural partnership between Freedom Fest and Displaced Orphans International made perfect sense.  Freedom Fest brings awareness of the global problem of human trafficking to thousands of today’s generation here in America , and DOI provides positive alternative, caring homes for orphans and schools to educate children in Thailand . The purpose is to break human trafficking in South East Asia , create awareness in America and action in Asia . We can make a huge difference in the lives of many people if we join together against this tragedy.

But we can’t do it without you!
By your generous donations towards this auction you are enabling us jointly to bring awareness and prevention to this huge problem of human trafficking.  The proceeds will go to directly support the efforts in Thailand , supporting the Christian School in dire need and to help continue awareness of this epidemic. There are several ways to support this cause. 1. Donate something to be auctioned off. 2. Attend the Auction. 3. Cash Donation & 4. Purchase advertising space in the auction catalog, which will be given to the more than 250 attendees and many local businesses. A full-page ad is $250; a half-page is $125.

Please plan to attend this event and we thank you in advance for your financial support to help us, “Stop the Traffic”!

Our Mission

Our goal for Freedom Fest Radio is; to have over 4000 listeners daily, to provide positive content for the younger-in-age believer, and to attract non-believers with the quality of the music, and slowly interject truth into their lives.

We will strive to keep the content a soft-sell Jesus approach, in that it won't be filled w/ 24-7 pastors' talking and what not. However, we do envision a station that will  have a suicide hot-line tagged onto it, a safe environment where people can rant and rave about their faith (or lack of it) and still feel welcomed.

Freedom Fest Radio will be hugely listener directed. As to type of music-- we will have live DJ's with 2 or 3 hour shows by Summer of 2008. We also want to be 35-40% Indie type bands.

And, when these goals are established and generating enough income to stand alone, we will make multi genre stations. Ie. all praise style, ccm, hip-hop, and maybe one or more talk shows, ect.

Although, this might be a fairly easy task, it will cost us more in monthly fees. So who knows, only God does, as to where this will go.

This I can say, we were really super excited to see our google stats. Our station has been listened to in all 50 states of the union in under 25 days! PTL We also have 35 listeners in Brazil, peru, Columbia, Mexico, Canada, 5-6 listeners in every Northern European country, smattering in Asia, even Aussieland and Malwi Africa.

Thanks to all our listeners. May the Lord richly bless you.
