| Be Careful When Choosing Your Student Credit Card | | Before you earn any college credits, you get bombarded with credit offers. You are their ideal cardholder: you are getting an education, which will more than likely ensure a better paying job that could even be lined up for you before you graduate; you are probably getting financial assistance from your family; and most important of all, you are, like nearly all college students, desperately in need of cash.
When you’re away from home, having credit is very important for basic living expenses as well as traveling from home to campus, depending on how far away you move. What are basic living expenses? Ask any student: mandatory living expenses constitute whatever it takes to make a student feel less homesick and to make their dorm room more accurately reflect your personal style.
Getting the credit you want starts with completing an application. You’ll find banks and credit card companies vying for your business all over campus. Some leave leaflets in the lobby of dorms or have it stuffed into the bad from the bookstore. Some offer food like free pizza or subs, or give away magazine subscr i ptions. Others toss trendy tee shirts at you if you sign on the dotted line, or offer cash incentives for referrals to other students who may be interested in obtaining a credit card.
But none of those so-called “gifts” are the reason you should choose a credit card. Every college student likes free stuff, but this is just one of those times when you could find out that free stuff could end up costing you a fortune in the long run.
Don’t rush to complete the first credit card application that’s thrust into your hands. Every time a potential creditor runs your credit report, it shows up as an “inquiry” on your credit history. You could be denied a credit card for just this reason: the creditor may be concerned that you are applying for too much credit, or too many different cards, at once, and may get yourself in to trouble by going too far in debt too fast.
Get at least three applications and compare the deals offered to you – or better yet – shop online and compare benefits. These companies are all willing to give you credit, perhaps the same initial amount of credit. So what features matter most?
First, you need to know what the credit card will cost you. One cost is the annual fee and the other is the interest rate on your balance. Your best choice is a credit card with no annual fee. Shopping for a credit card is just like shopping for a bank account: taking time to compare offers will turn up a card that charges no fees and may even offer some type of “reward” points for such things as airline miles, gifts, or even cash back. You earn these points by paying at least the minimum required payment by the due date and by keeping within your credit limit.
While many institutions may offer low or even zero rates initially or on balances you are willing to transfer from other credit cards, typical interest rates range from 12 percent to 18 percent on your outstanding, or unpaid, balance. The term APR refers to “annual percentage rate.”
There are more features that can attract you to a specific credit card company. You may be able to get an affinity card, which is a credit card with your college or university logo. Other groups also have affinity cards as well, including political, environmental or social causes. Just be sure you are not sacrificing other important benefits in order to show your school spirit!

 | How About Unlimited Backlinks AND Revenue Sharing? |
Sound good? Yeah, I thought so too. Just became acquainted with a site named QUASSIA and it is really unique.
At Quassia, you can add your websites for free, and without having to add reciprocal backlinks. You'll get unlimited quality backlinks (as opposed to "no-follow" backlinks). You can also add intel. Short for "intelligence", intel is a tidbit of information. Qassia rewards users who add intel in three ways:
1. Backlinks: You get one backlink for every piece of intel you add. Every intel will carry a direct backlink to one of your sites. So the more intel you add, the more backlinks you get.
2. Credit: When you add intel, you also get credit, in the form of Qassia dollars. Your net worth in Qassia dollars determines how well your websites rank in our directory.
3. Revenue: When your intel is displayed, you get 100% of the advertising revenue generated by that page. That is not a typo, by the way: we give you ALL of the gross ad revenue.
This means that website owners have triple incentive to contribute intel. The contributed intel will allow Qassia to become a vast repository of intelligence, with unrivalled original content. And a vast amount of original content draws traffic like honey draws ants.
Intrigued? Take a tour of QUASSIA now!

 | With Time in Short Supply, Businesses Go Online for Credit | Getting your business up and running takes every minute of the workday. Even if your business is already established, no doubt you are knee-deep in operations that keep your company running and on its way to profitable growth.
You definitely do not have time to waste shopping around to several banks to compare credit card terms. The business world does not go on hold while you work on financial matters that can help your company.
Instead, do what many business executives are doing – go online to get credit card information. While sipping your steaming latte, your mouse does the work - moving you rapidly among the best deals for credit cards.
All of the information you need is available 24/7. If you do not want to take time away from work to shop for credit cards, look online from home after dinner. Bankers' hours are for bankers - you are a busy entrepreneur and you do not have time to squander.
Another advantage to searching for credit card information online is that it is easy to compare the terms and conditions of several cards at once. You could spend a week running around town to get a fraction of the information you will get with a single online search.
It just makes good business sense to have all of the options before you when you make a choice about your company credit card. Once you find a deal that you like, you can complete the entire application process online in a matter of minutes.
Once you hit the "submit" button, have another sip of latte. In about 30 seconds, you will have an answer to your credit card application. You might even find a card that allows you to make a limited initial purchase online while you wait for the actual card to arrive in the mail.
Unless something unpleasant turns up in your full credit report, you should receive your business credit card and be ready to charge travel, client entertainment or office supplies.
If you need additional credit cards for your staff, you can quickly request those online as well. Establishing credit for your business is as valuable to your company as it is for personal credit.
Don't make the mistake that some small business owners make and use personal credit cards for business expenses. That is so much more complicated to sort out at the end of the year, and much more likely to be questioned in a tax audit.
Keep it simple and separate - a business credit card for business expenses and a personal credit card for personal expenses. If you like the credit card company and its terms, then use the same company for both cards.

 | How to Learn from Successful Marketers | We are all here for one vital reason: we want to make money on the Internet. What we are finding, however, is there is a steep learning curve. The question is how we can make money sooner, rather then later?
The first thing we could do is get a mentor or coach. The majority of the really good mentors charge fees that are off the scale for many just starting out, so most have to "settle" for a sponsor who is nothing but the number that your affiliate number got assigned under when you signed up for some free program. All sponsors are definitely not created equal! It is a numbers game for most, and they tend to treat their affiliates as a means to an end – nothing more than a cog in their wheel. If they perform, great; if they don’t, fine, on to the next. Any wonder 95-98 percent fail?
If you can afford to hire a really dedicated mentor, go for it, as it would be an investment that would repay itself over and over. But if you cannot afford it, then you can learn from the masters in other ways.
Pick a marketer you really admire, and study their products, their style and define what it is you really like about them and their business. Study their websites, their newsletters and any information you can find on the Internet by doing a search on them. Learn as much as you can about them and take copious notes.
Now repeat this process with your own online business.
Then you can do this with other favorite Internet Marketers and take the best of the best tactics and incorporate these in your offerings. One you get a good grasp of your business or niche, you will make it your own, and put your own style and flair into it.
I cannot say enough about Internet Marketing forums. They are a great place to learn from successful marketers, many of these forums have a number of real experts participating, making it easier for you to contact them, interact with them and request their help.
Using forums is a good way of finding a potential mentor as well. Using leverage, you could request their help and offer them a percentage of your profits when you are successful. However, should you not be successful in finding a mentor quickly, do not worry! You still can do well by networking with other affiliates you meet in forums, and even in Mastermind Groups and on networking sites. Mastermind Groups are a group of people supporting each other, bouncing ideas off each other, offering advice and finding solutions to problems. They usually have a mix of people from newbies to highly successful Internet entrepreneurs.
Another popular option is to have an accountability partner. This would be someone that you stay in contact with regularly, preferably each week, so you can set tasks for each other and accomplish more with each others support as you are literally accountable to each other, hence the name. Basically, you and your partner learn the business together.
Successful Internet marketer Alex Jeffreys shares his secret formula of making a six figure income in the last year (that you can easily use yourself) in his free ebook found at http://www.mykidsinheritance.com/PLP.

R I P SEAN TAYLOR....
It isn't even about being born in Washington, DC or being a die hard Redskins fan by default. It isn't even about man's inhumanity toward man, or the total disregard for the preciousness of human life in our society today.
We all have varying beliefs and I respect them all. Is there an afterlife? Do our actions on this earth dictate how we spend eternity? Can't it just be enough to simply respect everyone's journey and the challenges and joys that we will each encounter along the way?
I recently read as part of one of my Success University courses that it isn't about what you're going THROUGH, it's about what you're going TO. Sure, it's sad that such a promising athlete's career will never be realized or that all those kids and adults that looked up to him will be denied the chance to watch it unfold. It's sad that the members of his team have been robbed a team mate, his mother denied a son, his girlfriend denied a partner.
It's about that little girl who slept in the bedroom down the hall while his life was being stolen from him. The little girl that was just barely old enough to utter the word 'Daddy.' What possibly could have been worth altering that child's future forever by snuffing out all hope of watching her daddy grow old while he watched her grow up?
You have GOT TO LIVE EVERY SINGLE DAY, like it is your last. Look up and thank your God this morning that he let you see another day...that he gave you another chance to make a difference in the world...in someone's life. Thank Him that you have another chance to realize your dreams or those of your families. Bless Him for giving you the chance to hug your mom one more time or laugh with your friends again before drawing your last breath.
Have you started living the rest of your life yet? Or are you living someone else's?

I'm going to learn something new today, and I'm going to teach it to someone else. And I hope they teach it to someone else. I've been blessed with kids that I adore. So today I'm going to work toward their inheritance. I want to make a difference: in their life, and maybe in yours.... | | Posted: 11/27/2007 at 09:09 | Read 108 times | 1 comment | Leave Comment |
 | Do Not Quit Before the Blessing | Dream. Write your dreams down. Cut pictures out of magazines and post them all over your room or your office. Set goals and action steps to accomplish those dreams, no matter how far fatched they may seem.
Breaking dreams down to their smallest elements and figuring out to accomplish them is not only mentally challenging, but (and stay with me here, give this some serious thought) also a great cure for depression. Think about it: goals, dreams, even everyday challenges like how to get the kids everywhere they need to go and get the house cleaned up and the shopping done in time for the holidays can easily seem overwhelming. But if you make a list, delegate responsibilities and cross out the things that take time but won't help you accomplish your tasks you CAN see achievement.
Business is exactly the same way. Dream BIG. I'm an internet marketer. I have hundreds of affiliates, most of which I know will fail. It makes me so sad. Why? Because it took me over a year before I was able to start celebrating those $2, $5 and $7 checks that were coming in. They mean IT'S WORKING! You put in a minimum of effort, you don't try to get help, you don't get the basic knowledge you need, and you will still see results. You reap what you sow: small returns.
But in my second year when I was really struggling financially and I had tried probably 50 different affiliate programs and joined every traffic exchange, wasting hours and hours each day (sleep is so overrated) surfing through other people's ads I realized something: I was actually reading some of the ads. I was actually signing up for some of the newsletters. I was reading the mail from my sponsor(s).
Folks, there are always going to be new people coming into your chosen field with that fresh excitement (heaven forbid they are looking for the "get rich quick scheme" -- and personally whoever came up with that phrase should be punished severely), but they are looking for a hand to hold. They are searching for a life line out of their current situation, a cure for their depression, and they WILL celebrate those $2 checks when they come in. Because they know it is just the beginning, and they GET IT.
Celebrate those folks, even if you have to fish through hundreds and hundreds of affiliates and affiliate programs to find them. And for heaven's sake, keep sending emails, keep making phone calls, keep in touch with everyone on your team. Because one day, a year from now, a light may just come on in one of your affiliates' minds that says "She did it, she will help me, and I can do it." And all of a sudden you'll get a response; you'll get a post on your team blog, and you'll know -- you've found the next YOU, and you'll know exactly how to guide that lucky team member.
