| I've Seen Another.... | Ghost!!
A few weeks ago (before I came down with the ear infection), we were doing one of our favorite things - walking through an old cemetery. I love to look at the monuments and statues and just take in the serenity of it all.
It was a beautiful day, the sun was out and warm on our faces and the breeze added a touch of lightness to the day. As I was walking through the mazes of tombstones, my mind seemed to drift back to the days before the cemetery became a cemetery. I could almost envision the people and the setting.... Next thing I knew, a car came by and broke me out of my almost trance-like state. For a few minutes I felt very confused and felt like I had misplaced something. I could not recall walking the short distance I did walk to get up next to the narrow road. I still cannot even bring back exactly what I was seeing or hearing during that short time, but just remember a sense of another time.
I know I felt a little rattled by it, but decided to walk into another area and hoped that whatever I felt like I was forgetting would come back to me. I stood on another hill looking out over the rolling slopes of statues and stones and as I scanned the scenery, a dark figure briefly caught my eye. As I caught my breath and immediately looked back to see what exactly it was, it was gone. I knew without a doubt that it had been an apparition and my impression was that it was a woman. The moment took my breath away, made me slightly dizzy, and gave me little goose bumps all over my arms and neck. That's my signal that I know I experienced something.
We walked over to where I had seen her and in that area were two little tombstones of children. One had died as an infant, the other at two years old. I felt a little chill in that area as I recalled what I could of her appearance. Unfortunately, all I could see was dark - dark clothes, dark hair or bonnet, and her face was dark as well.
After staying in that spot for a little while longer, I was ready to leave. After experiencing both of those things in a short amount of time, I felt I had reached my "quota" of paranormal experiences that day! LOL

 | A Year of ills....... | I just cannot believe how sick I've been this year! Well, since September of 2007... And not just slightly feeling bad, I mean, REALLY FEELING AWFUL! Is it just me or are people everywhere experiencing higher incidences of bad illnesses?
I am currently experiencing a severly infected outer and inner ear. Normally, with medications, an ear infection clears up in 3 days. I'm going on my fourth day with medication and it's just as bad as it was last Thursday night. Turns out, my ear canal swelled completely shut so I had to go today and get a "wick" put into my canal. That was a very highly unpleasant thing to have done. Luckily, there are pain pills! LOL However, now with this inserted wick, the external antibiotics will be able to get to the infection and should start healing within days. I shall remain optimistic.
Each time I've had an illness, it has been on the serious side - seven days of the Flu, four days of Bronchitis, an upper respiratory infection that still hasn't completely gone away..... It does have me wondering though, is this happening to other people too? I know a couple of my co-workers have expressed that this has been their worse year too for illness. Is this another sign of the changing global conditions?
I missed an article that caught my eye about dormant strains of viruses becoming active again because of changes to the earth's environment and wish I would have bookmarked it to read. I believe there has to be some truth to it. I'm curious what others may have to say or share on this subject Please chime in!!! | | Posted: 3/31/2008 at 18:32 | Read 47 times | 2 comments | Leave Comment |
 | I've Been Published!!! | Woo Hoo!! My first article publication ever!!!
I've always wanted to write and for a while when I was growing up, I was going to be a journalist or work for a magazine. So now I figure... better late than never to do one of the things I love to do.
This article is on the subject of Certified Paranormal Investigators that I wrote after some debates on the subject. Please take some time to read it and then let me know what you think. Thanks!

 | Another New Venture | As one of my new year resolutions, I'm doing everything I can to get our screen printing business off the ground and flying! So, to help promote our Website and hopefully get more business to our site, I created a CafePress account.
There, folks can buy a select few of our tees, along with some added goodies for fun. My hopes are that people will want to see more and will link on over to our main site...... In the meantime, sales from CafePress will help support the income we need to better our actual Website and make it one of the best on the Internet!! LOL :) (I dream big....)
Check it out!

 | I Have Been Tagged! | Thanks to Hilda, it's my turn to write 10 wierd things about myself! LOL..... Once I'm done, I'll tag 10 people who'll have to write 10 wierd things about themselves.
Okay, let's have fun -----
1. I collect penguins - not real ones!! I love porcelain ones, ceramic ones, stuffed ones, etc.... I also wrote my senior essay on the lives of penguins.
2. I've seen a real, full-bodied, ghost. Actually I've seen two, but one was so clear. He was a little boy who looked just as flesh and blood as any living little boy looks. That's something I'll never forget!!
3. I had an "imaginary" friend into my late 20's. Seriously!! I was a single parent and my habit of talking to myself led to my having conversations with people I couldn't see..... (I don't do that anymore, although I worry that when I reach my older years and am not entirely aware of my surroundings anymore, that I will start talking to thin air again)
4. I have eaten at the same restaurant every Friday night for the past 4 years now. I've only not been there about 10 times out of 208 nights.
5. I have a foreign accent except I'm not from a foreign country. I'm partially deaf so I have a speech impediment that sounds like an accent and not a defect.... So I guess I can be happy for that! You cannot imagine how many times I've been asked where I'm from and the people actually seem to get disappointed when I say "Pennsylvania" and not some exotic location! LOL
6. I eat peanut butter and tomato sandwiches. I also like peanut butter and pickle sandwiches too.
7. We own a Ouija board collection, of which one is possessed. I keep that one tucked far away.
8. (Even though this isn't about me directly, it still was wierd...) My two pet cats, one all orange and one all black had kittens on Halloween day. Hmmm......
9. I know how to speed read.
10. I laugh a lot and sometimes don't know why.... (That quirk led to one of our t-shirt creations........)
So that's that. Wow! I didn't even know I had that many wierd things going on with me!! LOL
Alright, now for those I'm going to tag - some of you I know a little more about than others, but am curious what else you might have to say about yourselves. Have fun with it and when you're done, don't forget to tag 10 more people. Also, don't forget to let me know when you completed your blog so I can read it!!!

 | Got Ghosts???? | Or you're not quite sure what you've got??? Let us help!!!
I've been investigating paranormal activity for 3 years now and have studied the subject of ghosts and spirit activity for well over 20 years. Our group is here to help those who may be experiencing paranormal activity and are looking for answers.
There is no need to live in fear when many seemingly unexplainable events really can be explained. However, there truly are things that go "bump" in the night, and we can help explain that as well. Either way, our mission is to help put you at ease with whatever activity you may be experiencing.
We also strive to "capture" proof of paranormal activity to assist in further research of the unexplainable. Our group utilizes all the cool gadgets highlighted on such shows like "Ghost Hunters" and "Ghost Adventures", such as digital cameras, digital voice recorders, camcorders, etc. We also have a couple of members who are Sensitives, that is, one who can sense spirit activity.
If you live in the Metro Atlanta area and would like to have us conduct an investigation of your residence or place of business, please send me an email and I will contact you directly.
All communications and information relating to an investigation is kept in strict confidence within our group and is not open for public viewing. However, if you would like to have your location featured in a news article, we are happy to do that as well. | | Posted: 8/27/2007 at 12:49 | Read 76 times | 1 comment | Leave Comment |
