| Dreams |
I have had dreams two nights in a row. The first one I was back in the Army and was with my unit when my employer (where I worked before I was put in the Army) brought a pretty girl and placed her in my unit. My unit was all male. Before they left they told me it was my job to look after her and make sure nothing happened to her. I replied, "Please take her back home with you." But they did not and left her in my care. I knew I was headed for trouble.
That is all I can remember about that one.
Last night I dreamed my wife had told some friends I would marry them. Then next thing I knew was my house was full of people in tuxedo's and ready for the wedding. I on the other hand was in a pair of shorts and a T-shirt and not ready. So I went to get ready and realized I could not perform the wedding because I was not a Minister or Justus of the Peace. The next thing I knew was my house had turned in to a Church basement where the wedding was going to take place and it was Sunday and time for Church. I went up stairs to see if I could find someone who could marry this couple. I could not find anyone as they were all to busy.
Then I woke up.
But the dream stayed on my mind and I was having my morning devotions this morning in The One Year Bible and today’s New Testament devotion started out with:
Luke 12:35-40
Watchfulness
"Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like men waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. I tell you the truth, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

I am still thinking on it wondering if the dreams are trying to tell me something.
Oh, well just wanted to share. Your thoughts are welcome. David Campbell |
